We have all heard the saying, “If you don’t plan…then plan to fail”, well the precursor for executing a successful exercise session is preparation. This video demonstrates the best way to mentally prepare yourself for a speed, agility, quickness (SAQ) training session. The foundations for any athletic or high-performance training start with preparing your mindset to reach your goal for that training day. Nick and I took the first step to be mentally aware that we needed a program simple enough to execute the session correctly. Secondly, we prepped our bodies through active core exercises and dynamic movements that mimic our high-intensity SAQ drills. Last but not least, we kept our mental focus sharp before, during, and after the entire training session.
